M. Galganov.

I will be happy to publish your response under two conditions. First. It
must be written in the English language, so all of our members and
subscribers throughout North America will be able to understand it. If
you are worried about grammar, don’t be. Also, I will edit it for you
vis a vis spelling, but will not touch the content. Second. Reduce the
amount of words. It is far too long for publication. Keep it at about
250 words.

You are indeed very bright and seem to have a credible answer for
everything. The fact that you are so certain of your ethnocentric cause
is indeed very frightening. Rostropovitch is not a Quebecois name. At
one point in your family’s history one of your ancestors was an
immigrant. Have you lost that part of your culture because you have
adopted to the Quebecois majority. And if you have lost that part of
your culture does that diminish you as a human being?

You are very wrong on all of the issues, bust mostly, the culpability of
a people as to how they allow their governments to behave. The Nazis
could never have achieved the horror they did without the passive or
active support of the majority of the nation. Doing nothing in many
circumstances is doing harm.

The Separatists and Quebecois nationalists could never have rendered the
English speaking community as irrelevant, virtually invisible and
second class without the assistance or passivity of the general
population. As a result, far more than a half million very productive
people have virtually fled Quebec. Many within my own immediate family.
The exodus continues. With the people who left, went intelligence,
investment, good paying jobs and a future. My newest company will be
relocating out of Quebec within a few months. With it will follow as
many as two dozen jobs. However, the only people I will be keeping on
hand will be my senior managers. I will tell you about one of my senior
managers the next time we communicate. He used to think just like you.

Best Regards . . . Howard Galganov

Réponse que j’ai renvoyée à M. Galganov:

Bonjour M. Galganov

Merci pour votre réponse. Je me permets d’y apporter quelques
observations. (…)

pays, on s’INTèGRE.

>With the people who left, went intelligence, investment, good paying
>jobs and a future.

voir.

Bien à vous et bonne année 2000

Grégoire ROSTROPOVITCH
